Sidewalk View

The front lawn of this Ballard home wasn’t very welcoming, something the client wanted to change (see “before” picture at bottom).

We decided to replace the lawn entirely, designing a wider, more inviting bluestone walkway and patio—complete with an open fence to provide a bit of separation from the sidewalk while still allowing interaction with passers-by.

The patio also gives the homeowners a place to take advantage of the morning sunlight, and just as important, a shady respite during hot afternoons.
